![]() ![]() It's faint at times, but it's different enough from simple humidity to be something you start picking up on after awhile. There's a stickiness to the heat and humidity that everyone here has to get used to, but then, beyond that, there's a stillness to the air that whispers of terrifying storms to come. Shit was going to go down somewhere nearby. If you've lived here, you know what I mean. I was in Lawrence today for graduation and the air just had that quality to it. If you hear tornado sirens, take shelter! It could save your life! All my neighboors house are really messed up, I guess I was lucky. Somehow the tornado was so close (I thought I was dead) but my house only has roof damage and back utility room gone. I have to get my network up tomorrow (office is fucked) somehow as payroll is due tomorrow. I am at my parents house now, safe and sound. Everyone was pulling together to help each other, but mostly everyone left as their homes were gone. I spend the night making sure everyone i knew was alright, some dead but some ok. My office is only a block away and it is totaled. Everyone in my immediate block was ok but only 2 blocks down many houses were gone and some dead. i thought I was going to die, under my dining room table, with my dog, so scared, as my hood was destroyed. some friends are dead now, I spent all my evening helping my hood. I was 2 blocks from Freemans hospital, which the top 2 floors were gone. the people were in a gas stationĢ0 body bags were just requested on the police scanner for an apartment complex.
